Potential, pre-determined reasons for a ban include, but are not limited to:

Revision Spam

A maximum of three revisions in close succession by the same user shall be allowed. A fourth and fifth shall be tolerated if they include valuable information. If they don't, or if the user moves on to a sixth revision, he shall be issued a three day ban for revision spam. The spam-revision shall not be marked as patrolled, as their patrol would be similar to marking them just, and the whole point of this action is to show the users their behavior was disruptive to the service and to other users.
