Robot Storm is a mod for Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge. There are three sides in this mod: the Allied Legion, the Freedom League, and the NEXUS.
The Allied Legion is analogue to the Allies of the Red Alert Series. In Robot Storm, Chrono technology plays a big role in the Allied Legion's arsenal. Some of their units (e.g. pillboxes, guardian GIs, grizzly) are simply modified. YR counterparts exc They also have access to chrono tanks (which teleports and shoots missiles that are effective against tanks and aircraft), chrono towers (similar to prism towers, except that it is armed with the chrono legionnaire's rifle), and a Chrono Transport. Chrono legionnaires are also much cheaper and are available much earlier, making them more practical. In addition they can get a devastator tank, a triple barreled tank, the most powerful in the Allied Legion's arsenal. Their Superweapon is the Vortex Storm, which functions exactly like the weather storm, except that the clouds of the storm are replaced by chronosphere bubbles. Their hero unit is the Commando, which is armed with a sniper rifle, as well as grenades, which are very effective against vehicles and structures.
The Freedom League is Robot Storms counterpart to the Soviets (although it is also heavily inspired by the Brotherhood of Nod of the Tiberium Series). They have access to electromagnetic and chemical weaponry. They also have Battle Fortresses which disguise as trees when standing still, as well as a modified apocalypse tank that shoots lasers. They also have access to the Dreadnought tank, which is so large that it dwarfs all other tanks in size, and is armed with two powerful cannons, although it is unable to attack aircraft. They are also, like the Allied Legion, able to build airfields and jet planes. Their Super weapon is the Biomissile which acts exactly as the nuclear missile of RA2. The Iron Curtain is replaced by the terror outpost, which can periodically call in air strikes. Their hero unit is Nadia, a female sniper that shoots toxic bullets (similar to the Virus), and can lob sticks of dynamite at vehicles and buildings.
The NEXUS are the titular robots of Robot Storm. According to the fluff, these robots allowed humanity to defeat Yuri (hence explaining the removal of his army in RS), but only to betray them later. The infantry are heavily inspired by the Terminator franchise, and they are androids that are immune to dog attacks and crushing. The vehicles are mostly amphibious hover tanks of widely differing sorts, which also means that they have no navy. They also have access to mecha such as the terror drone and the Centurion Crawler, the most powerful vehicle of the NEXUS arsenal. They have an Iron Curtain, although it has a much larger radius and only shields buildings. Their superweapon is the Laser Satellite Strike, which is similar to the Ion Cannon of the Tiberium Series. Their hero is Volkov (a reference to RA1:Aftermath), which is armed with a laser cannon and C4.
