Recent Problems

I have no idea what's going on. I have updated to the latest wiki engine, and it showed no change; I generated a new settings file, and it works. Trying the old one resurrects the error. In other words: The same config that has worked just fine for weeks (in fact on this very day), now all of a sudden produces errors. I'll investigate. For now, most of ModEnc is back, apart from custom settings like the additional menu-items or allowed extensions for upload.

Policy regarding PrimeNet "ModEnc"

The PrimeNet "ModEnc" now sports the text "Note, this is not to be confused with the RenegadeProjects ModENC (http://modenc.renegadeprojects.com). This is simply my encyclopedia, basically all my knowledge in one place.". On the other hand, TotalPrime obviously tried to remove his name from the so-called "shitlist", claiming we were "shitheads" and just a beginner's modding guide. Despite this less than friendly attack, I have left the following message in his main page's history:
"We, the ModEnc people, although we cannot forgive the blatant attempt to copy us, see no reason for further fighting, now that you've made your relationship to us clear."
From this moment forward, our policy towards PrimeNet "ModEnc" shall be: Who fucking cares? He has made clear he is not us, and we'll only have the right to call us superior as long as we are superior. So instead of spending our time telling everybody he's ripper, we should make sure people have no reason to visit him rather than us.
To make this clear, once and for all: From this moment forward, ModEnc does not support the modification of TotalPrime's wiki in it's name. Whoever does that is on his own. We will accept that PrimeNet "ModEnc" exists, we will not forget how it was born, but otherwise we will have no connection to it.

After all, it's better we have two more pages telling newbs how to mod than two less.

In unrelated news, I took this event as a reason to re-model the mainpage and will soon be putting up a real help page rather than the crash course.

Speeding up developement

Since I have recently discovered that the Soylent page is being linked to by Wikipedia, I have decided to once and for all bring this page out of the beta-stages to a fully usable site. You can proceed as usual, but you will notice increased activity on the recent changes page, and the layout might suddenly changed.

Don't panic.
